Our Thursday Flower this week is a bulls-eye daylily. I'm enjoying posting my pics in Flickr groups, and getting comments there, too. Each daylily flower only lasts one day, but masses of them can bloom for weeks due to the prolifery of buds on the stalks.
This one bloomed in my garden in 2006.
Eyad finally got some good news today - his contact at the USA embassy in Saudi called Eyad's family, and told them he's made an appointment for Eyad on August 1st.
It's at the US embassy in Dharan, which is in the eastern province of Saudia Arabia (Jeddah is on the west coast) - so Eyad flies home to Jeddah on the 25th of July, then will fly to Dharan for his appointment on the 1st. And he's going to stay in Dharan in a hotel then for the 5 days it will take them to process his passport.
After that, he will be able to make plans to come to the United States. So, mid-August is now a target date for us being together, finally. I just have to embrace patience and take it one day at a time.
Thanks for all of your comments and support.
~ Mo

Gorgeous day lily, Mo. I have them too, as I mentioned last week.
Sounds like things are moving along for Eyad to get here. That's great!

It's amazing the diofference a day makes. One day sad, the next happy...
Daylilies are my favorite flowers. So earthy, and real...
We all need to leran patience... the fun part? It's one day at a time...
HUGS!

Lovely, lovely flower.
I'm glad you have some new news about Eyad. It will happen, it will happen - just keep telling yourself that.

Yipee! Glad it's gonna work out!
We have some daylilly nurseries here. Roycroft and Browns Ferry were clients of mine. Some of those fans cost hundreds of dollars! I was blown away.

Love daylillies! They are one of the few brave plants that can stand the 100 degree plus heat of our brutal summers.

Beautiful daylilly! We had them, but Mom let the weeds choke them and they all died.
We hope things go well for Eyad.
