1. I woke up this morning with "Copacabana" stuck in my head...
2. How is it that I set my alarm clock for earlier than usual and ended up rushing for work and then forgetting my coffee? What a start to a long day!
3. "At the copa, copacabaaaaaa-na!"
4. I joined Digg this week, and have added over 500 "friends" to my Digg account, and have Dugg some other people's blog posts, but so far, no one has Dugg any of my posts.
5. Yes, this is an unabashed plea to Digg this post. Grovel much?
6. Digg has a different idea of friends than I do. I would call 99% of those people on Digg "contacts" instead of "friends" - just adding someone to an internet social network doesn't make them a friend. I mean, it's not like I'm going to be having them over for tea and gossip any time soon.
7. Whenever I see the little white flowers of bacopa in a container garden, I hear the lyrics of "Copacabana" in my noggin --- "ba-copa, ba-copa, cabana!" This trailing plant makes a great filler in hanging baskets or large container gardens. Here's a close-up of bacopa flowers:
8. Yesterday's "What's Under The Microscope?" Wordless Wednesday was indeed split ends! Thanks for everyone's guesses! That reminds me, I need a hair-cut...
9. "Her name was Lola..." Is that in the lyrics to "Copacabana" or is that just stuck in my head because that's what the little girl wanted to re-name Jazper? (You have to have read my recent "what people have said at The Wren's Nest" post at Blue Ribbon Bloggers for that Lola reference to have made any sense...)
10. You know you've watched too much "reality" TV when you wonder where these people get things... I mean, when Dean got the gay cabana boys for Tori when he went scuba-diving with the Rainbow Flag scuba dudes - where did he get the cabana boys? My mind went right from "aw, that was sweet" to "where do you get cabana boys at the spur of the moment?" I mean, they are in LA, so maybe you just open up the Yellow Pages to "Cabana Boys R Us" or something...
11. I Googled it... her name indeed was Lola, she was a showgirl, with yellow feathers in her hair and a dress cut down to there...
At the Copa (CO!), Copacabana (Copacabana)
The hottest spot north of Havana (here)
At the Copa (CO!), Copacabana
Music and passion were always the fashion
At the Copa....don't fall in love
(Copa) don't fall in love...
The hottest spot north of Havana (here)
At the Copa (CO!), Copacabana
Music and passion were always the fashion
At the Copa....don't fall in love
(Copa) don't fall in love...
12. Now that you probably want to strangle me for getting "Copacabana" stuck in and endless loop in your head, what was the last song that was stuck on replay in your brain?
13. And finally, no "Copacabana" flavored post would be complete without a glimpse of Mo-mo-miranda. Graphic by Jannagraphics:

gee thanks... I guess it's better than The Wheels on the Bus... that is what I woke up to running around my brain this morning. I don't even have kids, so WHY The wheels on the bus go round and round... round and round.... ugh.

Not playing this week, but wanted to thank you for having that song stuck in my head now. The graphic of you made me spew coffee all over my monitor. Note to self: Don't visit Mo while you are having your morning coffee. Have a great day. Big hug and lotsa lovies. :)

I typed "hire Cabana boy" into Google and didn't find cabana boys, but did find a company called Cabana Boy relatively nearby where I could rent a margarita machine (among many other party rentals). Good to know!
Comment by Chuck on 4:28 PM
LMAO - I indeed am singing that stupid song now and definitely peaved. No digging for you. HA I actually haven't signed up for that yet. Regarding cabana boys - I wondered that myself when I watched that episode. How funny!! Thx for the giggle. *lovies*

I could have told you that "Her name was Lola" was from Copacabana because I know the words by heart... Love that pic, Mo! :)

I love your random thoughts! Ha!
The last song I got stuck in my head was "Bungalo Bill" - I'd RATHER have "Copacabana." Oh, wait, I think I just got my wish (aaaeeeiiiiiii!)
Comment by Linda on 7:11 PM
Hey, if I'm going to get a song stuck in my head then there's nothing wrong with a Barry Manilow tune - and a snappy one at that! Just remember, though, at the Copa ... don't fall in love!
I think I had some sort of Mindless Self Indulgence song stuck in my head before but thankfully you have now replaced it!
Comment by Mags on 7:22 PM
You know I love you-that's why I can call you a jerk....for getting that song in my head!!!!
Comment by Steven on 7:29 PM
Oh drat...you've brainwashed me as well! I can't stop singing that song now! AND I'm picturing you as Lola as I sing.

1. I woke up singing "SHIT, I'm Late..."
2. I did the same thing. Only I was so late I didn't have time to make coffee, so I did without this morning.
3. *LOL* ...they fell in love!
4. I've not added as many friends. But, I joined as well. Someone has dug one of your posts, I believe. :)
5. I totally agree with this statement...how 'bout someone telling you they were just keeping you as a fan because you didn't digg enough material that was sent to you, so they wouldn't digg anything you sent to them or waste their time! What a jerk!
6. They are pretty flowers, but I didn't know their name 'till I read it in your post.
7. Split ends. Well, for once I knew the answer.
8. PEOPLE say the darndest things, right?!
9. I am a reality TV addict as well. It's a sad, sad thing isn't it?!
10 - 13. THANKS a lot (can you sense the sarcasm leaking from my lips) for your generosity in getting this song stuck in my head.
At least I have this wonderful image to go along with it! ;)
Happy TT, Mo-Man!

Comment by Cindy Swanson on 7:58 AM
You do know what you've done, don't you? You've implanted that song in my head and I will not be able to get it out for the rest of the day! I have a friend who calls in "melodic cranial impaction." :)
The bacopa flowers are really lovely, though.
Do stop by my TT when you can!

Hey! There are a lot worse things than having Barry Manilow stuck in your head all day. Yes, I love Manilow - sue me! The most recent song I have had stuck in my head was Bleeding Love by Leona Lewis because they play it all the freaking time on XM.
Comment by WillThink4Wine on 4:59 PM
Well first of all... you look amazing, darling! Second of all, I have Barry Manilow in my car CD player at this moment. I've been in a Barry Mellow Manilow for the past few days!

Arghhh! Now you've gone and done it!
I've been singing that stupid add for
"Free Credit Report.com, I should've seen it coming at me like an atom bomb! They monitor your credit and send you e-mail alerts so you don't end up selling fish to tourists in t-shirts!"
I'm losing my mind! And there's not much left to lose. I'm going to go take a nap.
~~~Blessings~~~
"...she would marengue, and do the cha cha...and while she tried to be a star, Tony always tended bar..."
Dangit! Now it's in my head!
**grumble grumble grumble**
OH...I guessed split ends before I saw the answer here. Scouts' honor!
At the coooppppaaa....
Co-pa-ca-baaaaaa-naaaa....
Fab once wrote a parody of Copacabana where he made it all rhyme with "JANNA" instead.
Of course, the lyrics involved me doing lewd acts with bananas.
Use your imagination.
Or not. :)
