I grew up in Northern Kentucky, in Boone County, between Big Bone Lick and Beaver Lick.

(go ahead, laugh it up)
According to WikipediaBig Bone Lick State Park is located at Big Bone in Boone County, Kentucky. It is located on Beaver Road and between the communities of Beaverlick and Rabbit Hash. The name of the park comes from the Pleistocene megafauna fossils found there. The mammoths and other creatures are believed to have been drawn to this location by a salt lick. It bills itself as "the birthplace of American paleontology" a term which dates from William Clark's expedition in 1807.
Many of the mammoths, bison, and giant beavers were trapped in swamps and tar pits near the salt licks, and the area is a gold mine of their Big Bone fossils.

Since I've gotten the Doodle Bug, I drew a mammoth and a giant beaver for you, even though Doodle Week is officially over.  Yes, I'm addicted to Doodling.

Hmmm, are we going to have to start a Doodlers' Anonymous?
