One of my favorite flowering tree is the redbud. There is a nature preserve outside of Dayton, Ohio that has a Redbud Valley. I was fortunate to see it in bloom one spring, and it was magnificent.
We had a very old redbud tree in the garden in Dayton, too - so we always knew when to go to the park!
One theory about Ruby-throated Hummingbird migration is that they follow the redbud blooms up the eastern United States. So, if your redbud tree is blooming - it's time to put out the humming bird feeders!
Have a wonderful Monday, my internet buds!
love,
mo

I didn't know this. What a beautiful tree. We have hummingbirds again too, and yes the beautiful feeders I got from The Wren's Nest are back up after a long winter. Have a great MM Mo. :)
That is a beautiful tree. So vibrant. I bet the colors in "real life" are even more amazing. Nice picture
I just spotted my hummingbird feeder in the garage. Beautiful tree and a good reminder to welcome some of my favorite visitors.
Oh, Mo...it's BEAUTIFUL!!! :)
I need to get one of those awesome hummingbird feeders from The Wren's Nest.
Happy Manic Monday.
Ooooo! What a beautiful tree!
As you will see, I went a completely different way for my MM this week. :-)
I don't believe I've ever heard of this particular tree but it sure is pretty! I can see why the hummingbirds like it!
My buds are pretty pale in comparison but you are one of my very favorite buds!
What a beautiful flowering tree!
We just added your blog to our blogroll.
A beautiful picture to get spring feelings !
Just beautiful, Mo.
That's a very pretty picture. It seems like it has been a very long winter. I can't wait till things start to blossom here.
What a gorgeous tree!
Happy MM!
Love it love it love it! Thanks Mo!
I tried to order some Redbud trees from the tree people (can't think of the organization) but they wouldn't ship them to CA. Funny, they sell them at Home Depot!
I love these trees~
~~~Blessings~~~
My favorite thing about spring is all the flowering trees.
My least favorite thing is that the temperature soars WAY above 60.
Sometimes, once in a great while, it almost seems to be a fair trade-off.
Oh, that's beautiful. Must be something wrong with our climate...
Happy MM, Mo!
Beautiful! I would love to go for a long walk in the Redbud Valley!
WOW! What a beauty! ♥
Happy MM!
Those redbuds will be popping in a week or two. Cheers from the Dayton, Ohio area!!
Okay... The "bud" theme inspired me (and my lazy butt) to take a "bud" photo for my Project 365, too - *g*
Love ya!
Ok, I am getting a late start today. Sue me. I am on vacation. The trees are blooming their little butts off down south here right now.
Later Y'all.
We've had another loss in our fmaily. I am done with this already.
An absolutely beautiful tree, Mo! I have a weekend snapshot of a new tree I got and everybody's guessing what it is/ I think Kimmie said you'd know. Come by and tell me what it is if you have time...
My Manic Monday post is up...
Great word today Mo!!
Happy Monday
Wow, MO. This is gorgeous! I just love Spring!
That's a gorgeous photo!
Love Ya',
Kimmie
Hi Mo. Reba and I traveled the blogesphere and left our 'footprints' on all the other blogs on your Manic Monday linky... then we realized we hadn't left you a note... so we came back, haha. We're glad you're our Bud!!
Whoof to Mo. I was woof Mom the entire trip 'round the internet. Bark.
That is such a beautiful tree. I can't wait for the lilacs to bloom (if Spring wouldn't mind getting her butt up here...).
Hi Mo. I am so anxious for things to start budding out. My lilacs finally have buds. :) How are you? It was a rough weekend emotionally. I hope this week brings you sunshine and blessings.
Hugs,
Lorianna
