For me, BLUE has too many connotations to narrow down to just one topic.
So here's an overflowing BLUE Manic Monday cornucopia:
- Spooker is a Russian Blue.
- Next time I go to Vegas, I want to see Blue Man Group.
- When I was a kid, I liked to watch Big Blue Marble on the weekends.
- Growing up, I had a black lab, a german shepherd, and a basset hound. I always wanted, but never had, a Blue Tick Hound.
- I really don't get why the media insists on separating the USA into Blue and Red states. I mean, no state is entirely Democrat or Republican; that's one of the great things about this country.
- I used to enjoy watching NYPD Blue, although I admit I quit watching when they killed off Jimmy Smits' character.
- I've always been fascinated by the Blue-footed Booby.
- Blue Herons are often seen in the marshes of Southwestern Michigan.
- Blue Jays and Bluebirds do have blue pigmentation in their feathers. However, the Indigo Bunting's brilliant blue plumage is actually a trick of the light on the human eye: while their feathers appear blue, they are actually brown.
- The Blue Whale is the largest living mammal on earth. One current theory is that Cetaceans, or whales, evolved from rat-like land rodents.
- I live near the Blue Star Highway in Michigan, and my mother lives near the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia.
- When I lived in Dayton, Ohio, I was near the outdoor drama BlueJacket, but I never saw a performance of it.
- Michigan blueberries are the best.
- Growing up in Kentucky (the Bluegrass state), I liked to go fishing for Bluegills.
- My mother collects Blue Willow China.
- I enjoy Blue Cheese Dressing on a steak, but on a salad I like Italian or Ranch Dressing.
- My favorite Madonna album is "True Blue".
- True blue flowers are rare in nature. One of the most beautiful is the Himalayan Blue Poppy. I never grew those in a garden, but I did grow Blue-eyed Grass, a very petite and whimsical garden flower.
- "In the pages of a Blue Boy magazine" is a lyric from Cyndi Lauper's "She Bop"
- I once did a post on the phenomena of a "Blue Moon"
- I'm most comfortable working in blue jeans, but currently I'm wearing my blue plaid pj's.

That's a great list! I had Madonna's True Blue album, too. I remember I thought it was cool because the cassette was blue.
I love bleu cheese, especially on burgers (a black and bleu burger - Yum-o!)

Sitting in my chair in my blue jammies, feeling a little blue and looking at my kids walk the dogs in the cold with blue little lips.

Don't forget U of M, GO BLUE! There was also a blue Power Ranger (named Billy, LOL!), but I chose something a little more funky this week.
Happy Monday!

Well, mo, Big Blue did it last night! Can you believe it? We watched the game and had a 3-ft. sandwich and they did it! 17-14!

That's a ton of great blue stuff. I did a shorter list and we managed not to double up on any blue references.

Good job Mo! I love blueberries and I like the color blue. But, I feel blue because it snowed again and I'm so tired of blue fingers when ever I go outside. MM's are fun!
Blessings,
Lorianna
